Millerstown Borough is located on the eastern bank of the

Juniata River, scenically set in the rolling hills of Perry County.

Once a thriving town during Canal Days, it now serves as a

quiet residential community, rich in historical lore.

Millerstown lies thirty-three miles west of the State Capital,

Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and is the oldest town in Perry

County. It is located at the junctions of U.S. 22/322 and PA.

Rt. 17. It has a land area of .86 square miles, with a 2020

census population of 685.

Borough Council meetings are on the first Monday of every month, 7 p.m. at Borough Hall. All residents are encouraged to attend these meetings. It's your town - participate. Park & Recreation Committee meets the first Wednesday of every month in the Community Park Building at 7 p.m. Millerstown Community Success - Meetings are on the 4th Thursday of every month (except December) at 7 p.m. in the Borough Building. To All Millerstown Borough Residents: The Millerstown Borough Council would like to thank all residents for disposing of their brush & leaves properly and remind all other residents to PLEASE read over and follow these guidelines. There have been several incidents of residents covering animal waste, diapers, rocks, grass, trash, etc. with brush. This service is not intended for removal of any other products. These rules are for the safety of the employees and the environment in which it is disposed. The Council will be forced to discontinue this free and helpful service if the guidelines are not followed. This service will ONLY be offered from April 1st – November 1st PLEASE PUT OUT NO LATER THAN MONDAY EVENING FOR TUESDAY MORNING A. Please bag all leaves and keep bags free of trash or other non-organic items. B. All brush must be cut in 3-foot sections and bundled. C. Grass clippings, or sod from your yard, produce, garden waste, food items and ANY OTHER TRASH OR DEBRIS WILL NOT BE PICKED UP. D. The maximum weight for each can or bag is 40 lb. E. Brush and leaves not originating from your home will not be picked up. (i.e.: lawn business, etc.) F. Please try to put out Christmas trees as soon after the New Year as possible. Please be sure to remove all decorations & do not place in a bag. They will pick up when in batches, do not call if your tree has been sitting for a week! G. Please put in an obvious place to be sure it is picked up. *Remember: This is not the ONLY job for our employees! Circumstances can arise they cannot pick up brush on the expected day. They will resume as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience.
